Daycare Policy
Client Agreement for Ruff Ruff Resort Dog Daycare and Boarding Facility
Current Vaccinations/Veterinarian Information
By signing this contract, pet owners certify that their dogs are current on Rabies and other core vaccinations and agree to provide proof upon request to Ruff Ruff Resort. Pet owners must also provide current veterinarian information. Puppies must be fully vaccinated before attending daycare or boarding. Failure to provide valid vaccination documentation may result in refusal of service or immediate dismissal.
Aggressive or Dangerous Dogs
Pet owners must inform Ruff Ruff Resort if their dog has a history of biting, aggression, or anxiety around other animals or people. If a dog exhibits behavior deemed unsafe or disruptive to staff, other dogs, or itself, the staff may isolate or dismiss the dog from care. Aggressive behavior may result in the termination of services at the discretion of management.
Health or Medical Problems & Senior Dogs
Dog daycare and boarding can be physically and emotionally demanding, especially for elderly dogs or those with known health issues. In the event of a medical emergency, Ruff Ruff Resort may seek veterinary care. Owners will be contacted first, but if unreachable, the dog will be taken to the listed veterinarian or the nearest available facility. All veterinary costs are the responsibility of the pet owner.
Emergency Medical Care: CPR & First Aid
Ruff Ruff Resort prioritizes the health and safety of every dog in our care. In the event of a medical emergency, we have a certified Pet CPR and First Aid specialist on site at all times to provide immediate non-veterinary support. Our team is trained to respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies while ensuring the comfort and welfare of your pet. Please note that this care does not substitute for professional veterinary treatment. All follow-up veterinary costs remain the responsibility of the pet owner.
Medication Administration
Ruff Ruff Resort can administer owner-provided oral or topical medications as part of your dog's care for an additional fee. All medications must be clearly labeled with dosage instructions and given in a form that can be easily administered by non-veterinary personnel. Ruff Ruff Resort does not administer injections of any kind and is unable to accommodate dogs requiring insulin or other injectable treatments. Owners are responsible for notifying staff in advance if their dog requires medication during their stay.
Feeding Policy
Pet owners are strongly encouraged to bring their dog's own food in a sealed clearly labeled container with feeding instructions. This helps maintain consistency with your dog's diet and routine. If food is not provided Ruff Ruff Resort will offer house kibble for an additional daily fee. Please note that this food may not be formulated to match specific dietary needs or restrictions. Owners accept responsibility for any digestive issues or health concerns resulting from consuming non-prescribed or substitute food provided on site.
Parasites
Dogs found with fleas or ticks will be bathed using flea and tick shampoo and a fee will apply. Ruff Ruff Resort does not use pesticide dips or sprays. If ticks are detected owners are advised to follow up with their veterinarian to test for Lyme disease or other infections. Dogs with untreated infestations may be refused care.
Escape Clause
Ruff Ruff Resort maintains secure facilities and takes reasonable precautions to prevent escapes. If a dog does escape Ruff Ruff Resort will make every reasonable effort to retrieve said dog. However if the dog is struck by a vehicle or remains lost for 48 hours Ruff Ruff Resort assumes no further responsibility for said dog. By signing below you acknowledge the inherent risks and agree to hold Ruff Ruff Resort harmless.
Incident Report & Behavior Monitoring
Dogs play energetically at Ruff Ruff Resort and minor injuries such as cuts bumps or bruises can occur during normal daycare activities. In the event of a fight or biting incident staff will document the situation and require the pet owner to review and sign an accident report. These reports help us track behavioral concerns and ensure all dogs remain safe and comfortable. Multiple incidents involving the same dog may result in behavior assessments or permanent dismissal from daycare and boarding services at management’s discretion.
Overnight Boarding Disclaimer
Dogs staying overnight at Ruff Ruff Resort are housed in secure and monitored accommodations. While our facility is designed to ensure comfort and safety it is not staffed 24/7. Owners acknowledge that no personnel will be physically present on-site during overnight hours. By signing this agreement pet owners release Ruff Ruff Resort from any liability for incidents injuries or conditions that may occur during unsupervised hours. Our team will assess all dogs at morning check-in and address any concerns promptly.
Airborne Illnesses & Disease Transmission
While Ruff Ruff Resort maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety pet owners acknowledge that airborne diseases and illnesses such as kennel cough canine influenza and others may still be transmitted between dogs in communal environments. By signing this agreement pet owners release Ruff Ruff Resort from liability for any illness their dog may contract while on the premises including but not limited to those spread through air shared surfaces or close contact with other dogs. We encourage owners to consult with their veterinarian regarding vaccinations and preventative care before participating in group daycare or boarding services.
Temporary Restraint Policy
Ruff Ruff Resort operates as a kennel-free facility promoting open play and social interaction among dogs. However in the event of an emergency or a behavioral concern staff may temporarily restrain a dog using a leash harness or place the dog in a kennel or isolated area for its own safety or the safety of others. These measures are used sparingly and only when necessary to manage stress avoid harm or facilitate veterinary care. Pet owners acknowledge and accept that temporary restraint may be employed at the discretion of staff as part of responsible care and safety management.
Ingestion of Foreign Objects
Despite our commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment dogs may chew or ingest items during daycare or boarding including bedding toys flooring material or objects brought from home. Ruff Ruff Resort is not responsible for any health complications injuries or veterinary costs resulting from ingestion or attempted ingestion of foreign objects. Pet owners acknowledge the risks associated with communal play and accept full responsibility for any medical treatment that may be required.
Special Event Participation
Ruff Ruff Resort occasionally hosts themed activities or events that may include water play bubbles interactive toys or dog-friendly food experiences. Pet owners will be informed in advance about any scheduled special events through text email or in-person notice. Participation is optional and owners may choose to opt out by notifying staff prior to the event day. We strive to make all activities safe and enjoyable but understand that every dog has different comfort levels and needs.
Damage to Personal Items
While Ruff Ruff Resort strives to provide a safe and enriching environment for every dog we cannot guarantee the condition or return of personal items brought from home. This includes but is not limited to beds blankets toys bowls leashes and clothing. Dogs may chew soil or otherwise damage these items during play or rest. Pet owners acknowledge the risk and agree that Ruff Ruff Resort is not responsible for repair or replacement of personal belongings that are lost damaged or destroyed while on the premises.
Hold Harmless Agreement
By signing this agreement you release Ruff Ruff Resort its employees owners and agents from any liability for damage or loss resulting from known or unknown conditions of your pet. This agreement may be updated at any time and updated versions supersede prior agreements.
Drop-Offs and Pick-Ups
Please adhere to designated drop-off and pick-up times. Late arrivals or pickups may result in extra fees. Ruff Ruff Resort staff may contact you 20 minutes prior to your dog’s scheduled pick-up time. Consistent tardiness may lead to discontinuation of services.
No-shows & Cancellations
Notify us at least 24 hours in advance for cancellations. Missed appointments or no-shows without prior notice will be charged in full. Repeated absences may result in dismissal from daycare and boarding services.
Agreement
